Description
The Leader in Innovation Award, administered through SIR Foundation, recognizes and promotes innovation within interventional radiology (IR). It honors individuals who have both conceptualized and implemented an idea that has had an advantageous impact on IR practice, continuing the specialty’s history of innovative development and contributions to medicine.
Recognized innovations may include devices, techniques, approaches, clinical practice models, or other improvements that significantly enhance the quality of patient care or the economics of interventional practice. The award is not limited to a single type of invention or clinical advance. Its recognition of leaders involved in developing the IR residency and IR/DR certificate illustrates its scope across clinical practice, education, and training.
