Description
The Leadership Education Fund is administered by East Tennessee Foundation (ETF) to support and encourage excellence in public education. Established in 1991 as a cooperative effort between the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce and ETF, the fund reflects a shared commitment to public education. Its educational purpose guides support for organizations located in and serving residents of the foundation’s 25-county service area.
The fund offers grants for organizational work aligned with this public-education mission. Eligible applicants include qualifying public charities, government units, and public educational institutions, as well as new or emerging groups applying through an established nonprofit fiscal sponsor. ETF’s Grantmaking Team oversees the opportunity and provides assistance with applications and the online grant system.
