Description
The Leadership through Scholarship Fellowship, offered by the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM), is a yearlong program designed for early- and mid-career faculty in family medicine. The fellowship focuses on developing scholarly writing skills, academic leadership, and mentorship. Participating fellows engage in a robust curriculum, including workshops, individualized mentorship, regular virtual meetings, and in-person sessions. The program addresses career development challenges such as the minority tax and supports participants in preparing for promotion and tenure.
STFM is also seeking new faculty to help lead the fellowship. Faculty leaders plan and present workshops, facilitate small writing groups, and provide mentorship to fellows, supporting the program's mission to enhance academic leadership and scholarship among family medicine educators.
