Description
Learning Links is a Community Foundation of Western North Carolina (CFWNC) program supporting public school teachers with hands-on, creative learning projects. Its goal is to enrich students’ educational experiences, increase their enthusiasm for learning, and encourage them to remain in school through graduation. Projects must use innovative, imaginative teaching approaches, align with the classroom’s current curriculum, and directly support students’ academic improvement.
Projects may serve a single classroom, a grade level, or an entire school, including collaborative activities across classrooms or school-wide activities and clubs. Experiential learning preferably takes place beyond the classroom or in environments unlike students’ normal daily instruction. The program focuses on creative learning experiences rather than basic school equipment or staff compensation.
