Description
The Lee Jaffe Candidates’ Council Paper Prize is an annual award from the American Psychoanalytic Association (APsA) that honors exceptional papers on psychoanalytic subjects authored by APsA In-Training Clinical Members, including Psychoanalyst-In-Training and Psychotherapist-In-Training Members, as well as recent graduates (within one year). The prize is named after Lee Jaffe, Ph.D., a former APsA President, and aims to advance psychoanalytic scholarship while supporting the professional growth of trainees. Winners are invited to present their work at the APsA National Meeting, with semi-finalists presenting in a virtual session. Both the winner and semi-finalist are eligible for further recognition through submission and potential publication in the Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association (JAPA).
