Description
Legacy Material Grants support the digitisation and archiving of legacy materials that document the world’s linguistic diversity and are at risk of being lost. These materials may include analog audio/video recordings, field notes, text collections, and photographs related to endangered or extinct languages, often held in private collections or small repositories lacking preservation resources. The primary aim is to safeguard, preserve, and make these materials accessible and discoverable, with a requirement that digitised materials be made openly accessible at the Endangered Languages Archive (ELAR).
