Description
The Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC) offers this grant to help individual working artists address legal matters affecting their career sustainability and the protection of their creative work. Eligible services include business entity creation, contract review, residential and commercial lease review, and trademark renewal and intellectual property guidance. The program aims to protect artists’ rights and interests, strengthen business acumen and professional development, and build a resilient arts community.
The optional Lawyer Referral Services Program connects grant recipients with vetted, experienced, insured attorneys offering eligible services at a discounted flat rate. Recipients may instead choose their own attorney. GCAC facilitates access to legal assistance but does not provide or supervise legal services and is not a party to the attorney-client relationship.
