Description
Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity offers this competitive residency for creative professionals developing a clearly defined project. Residents work independently in a private Leighton Studio in Banff, choosing how to use their time for research creation, exploration, and project development. The studios support practices including writing, curatorial research, composition, visual art, design, filmmaking, theatre development, and interdisciplinary work.
Applicants can indicate a preferred studio suited to their practice. The residency provides dedicated workspace rather than a structured production process: it does not include production support, technical assistance, or access to specialized facilities. Participants also receive a single room on campus and a meal plan.
