This award is designed to help outstanding, newly trained pediatricians and internists (MDs and MD/PhDs) complete sub-specialty training, enhance clinical proficiency in cystic fibrosis (CF)-related sub-specialties, and develop the research skills needed to become independent biomedical investigators. The program provides sustained support for up to six years, with the goal of fostering the transition from clinical training to independent CF research careers. The award is structured in three phases: clinical subspecialty training, research training during subspecialty, and independent research investigation.
