Description
The Leslie Bernstein Grant is administered by the AAFPRS Foundation and endowed by Leslie Bernstein, MD, DDS. It supports original research advancing knowledge of the theory, techniques, and applications of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Funding may serve as seed money for larger research projects, but supported work must yield useful information within the award period.
Priority is given to innovative projects with potential to develop into long-range or expanded research programs capable of attracting other funding. Proposals introducing knowledge or methods from other disciplines, or involving collaboration with related disciplines, are encouraged but not required. Research in strategic areas identified by the AAFPRS Board of Directors or Research Committee may receive additional consideration.
