Description
Leverhulme Research Centres support outstanding original research that aspires to achieve a significant step-change in scholarship. Run by the Leverhulme Trust, the scheme encourages bold approaches capable of establishing or reshaping a field of study and transforming understanding of a significant contemporary topic. The next round will be the Leverhulme Centenary Research Centres.
Topics are open within the Trust’s remit, with an emphasis on higher-risk, fundamental or curiosity-driven research drawing on multiple disciplinary perspectives. Centres should pursue an ambitious but realistic large-scale agenda and have the potential for international recognition. Proposals must offer substantial added value over smaller initiatives rather than duplicate comparable activity in university or UKRI-funded centres. Collaborative centres are encouraged.
