The Leon Levy Center for Biography offers one resident Levy/Sloan Fellowship each year, funded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, to support the writing of a biography of a figure from science or technology. The 2027–2028 fellowship is part of the Center’s broader program supporting the research and writing of outstanding biographies.
Running from September through May, the fellowship provides dedicated time, private writing space at the CUNY Graduate Center, and research support. Fellows work on their books while participating in monthly seminars and public events, including the Center’s annual lecture and conference. They are also encouraged to engage with the Graduate Center’s intellectual community and exchange ideas with other biographers.
