Description
The Library Automation Grant supports Missouri public libraries that do not have an online catalog and libraries migrating from one system to another to improve online access to their collections. The Missouri State Library, a division of the Missouri Secretary of State’s office, administers the program using federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funds supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
The grant falls within the State Library’s goal of building and sustaining information resources and its priorities for expanding learning and information access and enhancing electronic library services. Anticipated project costs include new technology or software, barcoding supplies, staff support, and other migration- or automation-related expenses.
