Description
The Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) Grant Programs are administered by the State Library of North Carolina, a division of the North Carolina Department of Natural & Cultural Resources. This federally funded, state-based program supports information access through technology and improved access to library services. LSTA was enacted by Congress in September 1996.
Collaboration and cooperation among all types of libraries are central program priorities. Funded projects must demonstrate improvement in library services through the use of federal funds. North Carolina’s LSTA Five-Year Plan sets the program’s priorities and defines the libraries eligible to apply, with additional eligibility requirements driven by those priorities.
