Description
The Institute of Museum and Library Services provides Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funding, which the Arizona State Library administers through statewide initiatives and competitive subgrants. The grants help Arizona libraries test new ideas, develop continuing services, and improve existing ones. Projects may preserve information, expand equitable access, build lifelong-learning skills, strengthen library resources, or connect libraries with their communities.
General Grants allow libraries to design projects under four goals in Arizona’s Five-Year Plan: information preservation and access, informal education, institutional improvements, and inclusive communities. Express Grants have preset activities and outcomes. The program funds temporary projects with defined results rather than general library operations.
