Description
The Lilja Family Fund at Oregon Community Foundation (OCF) was established through the estates of Don Lilja and his sister Helen to support communities in South Douglas County, Oregon. It serves Canyonville, Riddle, Tri-City, Camas Valley, Myrtle Creek, Days Creek, Milo, Azalea and Glendale through competitive project grants and scholarships.
The grants program supports six priorities: K–12 education, early childhood education, youth development, literacy, culture and community. Within K–12 education, the emphasis is on direct student services, such as enrichment activities, rather than teacher salaries, basic equipment and supplies, or replacement of government funding. The scholarship program supports eligible high school graduates and is administered for OCF by the Office of Student Access and Completion (OSAC).
