Description
Linn County Grants, administered by the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation, support programs and projects that enhance quality of life and community development outside Linn County’s metropolitan area. Both program support and capital projects are eligible. Priority goes to applications from non-metro communities and to well-designed, innovative programs that respond to community conditions, use community resources effectively, and test or demonstrate solutions to community issues.
The grants are part of Iowa’s County Endowment Program, created by the Iowa Legislature and funded through gambling revenues distributed to non-gambling counties. The Foundation also prioritizes nonprofits that are deeply engaged in, or actively improving, organizational equity and justice practices in their internal operations and community services.
