LinnéSys: Systematics Research Fund supports small-scale research and education in taxonomy and systematics. Formerly known as the Systematics Research Fund, it is jointly administered by the Councils of the Linnean Society of London and the Systematics Association, with the Association handling the scheme’s administration. Projects can address any organism group, from microscopic to macroscopic organisms, both past and present.
The fund contributes to practical research expenses such as fieldwork, scientific equipment, specialist expertise, analytical equipment access, specimen preparation and publication. Education projects, training courses and citizen science activities are also considered when they include a focus on taxonomy and systematics. Applicants may be at any research stage from undergraduate student onwards.
