The London Mathematical Society (LMS) supports innovative, collaborative scholarship projects in higher education mathematics and its applications. The scheme is intended for colleagues who have, or are building, a teaching and scholarship profile. It advances the Society’s “Pathways in Mathematics” strategic goal of promoting mathematics and opportunities to study it and develop a career in mathematics and its applications.
Projects should improve teaching quality or student learning, enhance curriculum design or delivery, enrich the student experience, or improve student outcomes. Work must take place across two or more UK universities and produce tangible benefits for students that extend beyond one academic year to future cohorts. Evaluation, transferability to other higher education institutions, long-term impact and environmental sustainability are central expectations.
