Description
The Local Government Planning Fund (LGPF), administered by the New Mexico Finance Authority (NMFA), provides grant funding to local governments, tribal entities, and certain special districts in New Mexico for the planning and development of critical public projects. Eligible projects include preliminary engineering reports, long-term master plans, water conservation plans, asset management plans, economic development and affordable housing plans, flood inundation mapping, archaeological clearances, and energy audits. The fund is designed to help communities lay the groundwork for impactful, sustainable improvements by supporting the planning phase of infrastructure and community development initiatives.
