Description
The Wisconsin Historical Society offers Local History Mini-Grants each spring to help affiliated organizations care for and manage museum and archival collections. Projects can address practical needs such as archival and conservation supplies, climate control, storage, collections management software, computer hardware, digitization equipment, and training. A project may span more than one category.
The program supports work directly connected to collections care and management. For example, it can fund hardware used for collections-specific activities, but not general office use. The Society’s Local History Outreach staff can discuss proposed projects that do not fit the examples in the guidelines.
