Description
The Ohio Department of Transportation’s Local Road Access Program supports road improvements in Ohio’s 32 Appalachian counties, as identified by the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC). Projects must help create or retain jobs by improving access to industrial and business parks, education centers, or recreation areas.
ODOT’s Office of Transportation and Economic Development manages the program. Funding can support early project development—including preliminary engineering, design, and right-of-way work—as well as construction and eligible reconstruction or rehabilitation of existing roads.
