    Description

    The American Chemical Society (ACS) Committee on Local Section Activities (LSAC) offers this grant to empower ACS local sections to create projects that foster inclusion and belonging within their communities and the broader chemical sciences. The grant is designed to encourage innovative programming that engages underrepresented groups, builds community, and supports diversity, equity, and inclusion at the local level.

    Eligible projects may include, but are not limited to:

    • Speaker series and seminars
    • Heritage days and cultural events
    • Scholarship matching and undergraduate research support
    • Mentoring and outreach to underrepresented groups or schools
    • Professional development, book clubs, and workshops
    • Activities with Project SEED or similar initiatives

    The LSAC welcomes diverse approaches and creative proposals tailored to each section’s unique needs and strengths.
