The Local Section Member Engagement and Enhancement (LS-MEET) grant is intended to strengthen and build community within Local Sections of the American Chemical Society (ACS). The program funds initiatives that enhance recruitment efforts to attract new members and foster stronger connections among existing members. Eligible projects may include organizing targeted events for underrepresented groups (such as schoolteachers and industrial chemists), ongoing programming, and purchasing technology or materials to support these activities. Innovative use of technology and creative approaches to member engagement are encouraged. The grant is designed to create additional opportunities for engagement beyond those already supported by other ACS-funded programs.
