Description
The Local Section Member Engagement and EnhancemenT (LS-MEET) grant is administered by the American Chemical Society’s Committee on Local Section Activities (LSAC). It supports programs that strengthen community within ACS Local Sections and enhance recruitment of new members. Funding can support specific events, ongoing programming, and purchases of technology or materials that help members connect.
Projects may engage local chemistry communities not currently involved in the section, including schoolteachers and industrial chemists. They may also create additional opportunities for existing members to come together beyond programming already funded through LSAC Science Café or Innovative Project Grants. Innovative uses of technology to enhance local section connections are encouraged, and proposals should show how activities highlight the section’s current goals and work.
