Description
The Local Share Account (LSA) – Statewide program supports projects in the public interest that improve quality of life in Pennsylvania communities. The Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) administers the program, with grants awarded by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA). Funding comes from gaming revenues distributed under the PA Race Horse Development and Gaming Act (Act 2004-71), as amended.
Supported work includes acquisition, construction, renovation, rehabilitation, demolition, infrastructure, vehicle and equipment purchases, and planning projects. Projects must be owned and maintained by an eligible applicant or a Pennsylvania nonprofit entity. Nonprofits participate through sponsorship by an eligible applicant rather than applying directly. CFA evaluates proposals based on cost, strategic importance, and impact.
