The Local Undergraduate Research Award in Physiology (LURAP) is designed to honor and encourage excellence in undergraduate research in physiology at the home institutions of American Physiological Society (APS) members. The program aims to foster undergraduate interest in physiological sciences, motivate students to pursue further studies, and facilitate connections between undergraduates and APS members. Each award consists of a one-year APS undergraduate membership and a certificate, presented to the student with the best physiology poster or presentation at a research showcase event.
