Clay Mathematics Institute Enhancement and Partnership Program supports research school organisers with international enhancement funding to broaden the reach of training in contemporary mathematics.
Funder: London Mathematical Society
Due Dates: Not specified (CMI enhancement) | February 22, 2024 (underlying LMS Research School call, past)
Funding Amounts: Additional CMI enhancement funding; underlying LMS Research School grant up to £15,000
Summary: Supports prospective LMS Research School organisers seeking additional funding to extend their school’s international reach.
Key Information: The school must already be viable without CMI funding.
The Clay Mathematics Institute (CMI) Enhancement and Partnership Program offers prospective organisers of London Mathematical Society (LMS) Research Schools additional support to extend their school’s international reach. It funds enhancement rather than the core support on which an event depends. Organisers can approach CMI before receiving a decision on their LMS Research School application.
LMS Research Schools take place in the UK and train research students in contemporary areas of mathematics. They bring students and postdoctoral researchers from the UK and abroad together with internationally leading lecturers and other early-career researchers. The schools aim to introduce students to important, developing research areas and help establish them as future leaders in their research communities. Schools are often partially funded by the Heilbronn Institute for Mathematical Research.
