Description
The Lone Star Scholarship, funded by the Charles and Lucile King Family Foundation and independently administered by Honor Society and its designated scholarship review committee, rewards an ambitious student who demonstrates excellence both academically and beyond the classroom. It recognizes student achievement rather than funding a particular research field or defined project.
The scholarship considers academic performance alongside broader personal accomplishments. An ideal candidate stands out in academics, community service, or society involvement. Selection takes account of GPA, honors, and awards, together with leadership positions, community service, and other holistic factors. Applicants describe their current academic program, achievements, and the relationship between their studies and life goals.
