The Folger Shakespeare Library’s Long-term Fellowships, administered through the Folger Institute, provide substantial support for scholars undertaking significant research projects that draw on the library’s renowned collections in the early modern humanities. Fellowships are offered as either year-long (nine months) or semester-long (five months) appointments, with flexibility for a portion of the fellowship to be completed virtually. The program is especially interested in projects that foster innovative scholarship, address marginalized subjects, or explore more inclusive histories, and encourages both traditional and non-traditional archival approaches.
