The Folger Shakespeare Library's long-term fellowships provide support for scholars undertaking significant research projects that utilize the Library’s exceptional collections and resources. Offered through the Folger Institute, these fellowships are available for both year-long (9 months) and semester-long (5 months) terms, enabling full-time, in-depth research in the early modern humanities. The program encourages innovative, inclusive scholarship, particularly projects exploring marginalized histories or employing novel research methodologies. Fellows benefit from a collaborative scholarly environment, training in early modern research methods, and the flexibility to conduct part of their fellowship virtually if needed.
