Description
L’Oréal USA For Women in Science awards five women postdoctoral scientists annually for their scientific contributions and commitment to inspiring younger generations. The U.S. component of the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science International Fellowships program combines research funding with mentoring and networking. L’Oréal USA partners with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) to manage applications and peer review.
The program supports basic research in life and physical/material sciences, engineering and technology, computer science, and mathematics. Its five 2027 awardees will each receive $75,000 to advance innovative research and outreach supporting the next generation of women in STEM. Research represented in the 2025 cohort included physiology, sensory biology, microbiology, biomedical engineering, and developmental biology.
