Louisiana Project Grants is administered by the Louisiana Division of the Arts in partnership with nine Regional Arts Councils. It supports nonprofit organizations, schools, colleges and universities, and government agencies undertaking arts projects that benefit Louisiana communities. Projects must contribute to at least one program goal: showcasing regional artistry, creativity, and identities; addressing a community need or issue through the arts; or increasing public access to the arts.
Funding supports culinary arts, dance, design, folklife, literature, media, music, theater, and visual arts and crafts. Projects must demonstrate artistic merit, public engagement, and community relevance. Regional councils provide applicant assistance, organize community-panel reviews, and monitor grants, with funding allocated among regions according to population.
