Description
The Institute for Ethics and the Common Good at the University of Notre Dame seeks five scholars for its 2027–28 Love Ethic Faculty Fellowships, sponsored by a grant from the John Templeton Foundation. The program brings fellows into an interdisciplinary research community to examine love as a moral, social, and political force and to make their work accessible beyond academia.
Projects may approach love and ethics through moral theory, history, empirical research, practical questions, or applied ethics. Possible lines of inquiry include religious traditions and love-centered ethics, moral reasoning, social movements, public policy, inequality, conflict, and emerging technologies. Fellows pursue their research in residence at Notre Dame and participate in seminars and collaborative events.
