    Description

The Love Ethic Social Innovator Fellowships are administered by the University of Notre Dame’s Institute for Ethics and the Common Good (ECG), with support from the John Templeton Foundation. The program gives leaders outside academia time and space to clarify a vision, develop a strategy, and design initiatives addressing pressing social, political, and moral challenges. This cycle focuses on love of neighbor, connecting its philosophical foundations with practical organizational work.

Up to six short-term fellowships will be offered in 2028. Fellows join a cohort of practitioners, participate in a workshop and residency, and connect with Notre Dame scholars and the Love Ethic network. Funding supports new projects within organizations or new ventures, rather than simply enhancing existing love-based practices. Relevant applications include civil rights, migration, disability, and political polarization, among other ethical challenges.
