Description
The Low Income Worker Training Program is offered by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development through the Minnesota Job Skills Partnership (MJSP). It funds relatively short-term training that helps low-income individuals gain additional skills, advance to higher-paying jobs, and become more economically self-sufficient. The program supports training delivered by Minnesota providers or educational institutions with a proven track record.
MJSP works with businesses, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations to train or retrain workers, expand work opportunities, and keep high-quality jobs in Minnesota. Across its training programs, MJSP prioritizes short-term training for full-time employment in growth sectors of the state’s economy.
