Description
LSTA Impact Grants are administered by the South Carolina State Library with Library Services and Technology Act funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. They support special projects through which public library systems develop, expand, deliver, or promote services and programs. Each project must specify outcomes for its target audience.
Projects must align with at least one federal LSTA purpose or priority and one state goal. Those purposes encompass improving library services, expanding access and resource sharing, supporting literacy and lifelong learning, responding to community needs, developing the library workforce, and preserving knowledge. The State Library is especially interested in projects that strengthen preservation and digitization or improve access for patrons who have difficulty using the library.
