Description
The Lustgarten Foundation’s Innovation and Collaboration Program supports highly innovative research with significant potential to advance its mission of transforming pancreatic cancer into a curable disease. It provides seed funding for projects addressing key outstanding questions that could change current paradigms or conventional wisdom. Research topics are unrestricted and may address the Foundation’s priorities of Early Detection and Interception, Therapeutic Development, and Personalized Medicine.
Preference is given to collaborations across research groups, projects bringing new expertise or technology into pancreatic cancer research, and studies of understudied or poorly understood aspects of pancreatic cancer biology. Preliminary data are not required, but the premise or hypothesis must be plausible and testable. The program does not support incremental advances to existing hypotheses or ongoing research, or projects solely generating novel reagents or resources.
