Description
First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania offers this competitive grant as part of its 110th birthday grantmaking for Lycoming County. It supports nonprofit programs and projects benefiting county residents, including work in arts and culture, education, health and human services, youth, the environment, and economic development. A special committee of current and former foundation board members selects recipients.
The foundation favors proposals that reach a broad, diverse group of residents; respond creatively to community needs or opportunities; and set attainable, measurable goals. It also values collaboration that avoids duplicating other nonprofits’ work, financial strength and long-term sustainability, and the ability to leverage other funding.
