The Maine Space Grant Consortium (MSGC) runs this in-state competition to select Maine’s research proposal for the FY 2027 NASA Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) competition. It supports scientific research and technology development aligned with NASA priorities and Maine’s space economy, aiming to build self-sustaining, nationally competitive aerospace research capabilities.
Preference goes to multidisciplinary, multi-institutional teams that connect NASA Mission Directorate or Center priorities with foundational topics for the Maine Space Complex. These include data analytics and management, quantum computing and storage, communications, CubeSat and constellation design, payload integration, launch services, navigation and tracking, remote sensing, and satellite manufacturing. All meritorious NASA-aligned proposals will be considered. The program emphasizes research infrastructure, new research directions, mentoring junior researchers and students, and partnerships among academic institutions, NASA, government, and industry.
