The Major Research Fellowships program from the Leverhulme Trust is designed to enable well-established, distinguished researchers in the humanities and social sciences to complete substantial, original research projects. The scheme particularly supports those whose research progress has been hindered by heavy teaching or administrative duties, offering an intensive period to focus on a major piece of scholarship. The fellowship covers replacement salary costs and research expenses, allowing recipients to devote at least 80% of their time to the proposed project for a duration of two or three years.
