Description
The Leverhulme Trust’s Major Research Fellowships enable well-established, distinguished researchers in the humanities and social sciences to complete a piece of original research. The scheme is particularly aimed at researchers whose routine duties have prevented, or are preventing, them from completing a research programme. Applicants should demonstrate scholarship at the highest level and explicitly identify the proposed outcomes of their research.
The fellowship creates sustained research time by funding an individual to undertake the fellow’s normal duties for two or three years. Research expenses can also be requested. The focus is on bringing original work to completion, rather than requiring applicants to have already attained professorial standing.
