Description
The Make a Difference Day Grant, managed by the Community Foundation of North Central Washington, supports nonprofit organizations and groups carrying out volunteer community projects in the Wenatchee Valley. Grants help implement or enhance volunteer efforts for Make a Difference Day, a national day of service centered on neighbors helping neighbors.
The program is funded through USA Weekend Magazine prizes from the Gannett Foundation, now managed by the Community Foundation. Funding directly supports local service projects. Applicants describe their previous year's participation, explain their proposed project, and identify how they will use the grant funds and the impact they expect the work to have on the community.
