    Description

The Mālama Honua Home Improvement/Renovation Program is an Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA) pilot supporting qualified Hawaiʻi-based nonprofit organizations in administering home improvements and renovations. Its focus is household health and safety, serving income-qualified Native Hawaiian homeowners who are ineligible for traditional financing.

The pilot is offered through OHA’s Community Grants for Nonprofits, which supports projects, programs, services, and initiatives advancing Native Hawaiian well-being. Funded work sits within OHA’s Strategic Foundations, Directions, and Outcomes. Rather than providing direct homeowner applications through this nonprofit solicitation, the program uses selected nonprofit partners to administer services and beneficiary applications.
