Description
Managed Data Center Cost Reduction is a Wyoming Business Council sub-program of Building Resilient Communities (BRC), formerly Business Ready Community. It helps local governments buy down broadband and electricity costs for a data center business. BRC supports publicly owned infrastructure and community planning that remove barriers to economic growth and serve Wyoming businesses.
The cost reductions are tied to a contract between the grantee and the business. The contract must specify capital investment, minimum payroll creation, and IT services priced below fair market value, linking support for the data center to direct and wider economic development benefits for the community.
