Description
The Management Improvement Fund is a special fund of the Saint Paul and Minnesota Foundation supporting small and midsize Minnesota nonprofits. It funds technical assistance and consultation that strengthens internal operations, supports new capacity-building work and improves management capabilities. The program also nurtures Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) leadership in the nonprofit sector.
Supported work ranges from organizational assessment, strategic planning and governance to accessibility consulting, technology assessment and financial planning. The Fund also supports collaborative approaches that help groups better serve their communities, preparation for nonprofit status, and leadership development for BIPOC-led organizations. Its approach emphasizes racial equity and communities informing, shaping and benefiting from the work.
