Description
The Manufacturing PA Industrial Resource Center (IRC) Program is administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED). It supports a statewide network of regional Centers that help small and medium-sized manufacturers adopt modern manufacturing philosophies, techniques, and technologies. The program seeks to improve productivity, technological performance, sales, profits, and investment in jobs and growth, creating lasting economic benefits for Pennsylvania communities.
Services span manufacturing process improvement, quality management, technology and innovation, workforce development, business growth, new product development, supply chains, and cybersecurity. Centers must address Product, Process, and People through services supporting growth, operational improvements, and talent development. The program supports existing services and new initiatives responding to regional needs, with priority industries including agriculture, energy, life sciences, manufacturing, and robotics and technology.
