    Description

The Many Voices Mentorship is a one-year artistic development program administered by Playwrights' Center and funded by the Jerome Foundation. It supports Minnesota-based Black artists, artists of color, and Indigenous artists who are new to playwriting, demonstrate artistic potential, and want to learn the craft. Applicants do not need to have written a play before.

The program combines a stipend and work-development funding with educational and professional resources. Services can include a staged reading with professional actors, multi-week classes taught by leading playwriting professionals, one-night seminars, script feedback, and mentorship. Participants also receive two years of Playwrights' Center membership and become Affiliated Writers at the end of the mentorship, maintaining an ongoing connection to the Center.
