Description
The Maria Leptin | EMBO Science Journalism Fellowships are designed to strengthen the field of science journalism by supporting two primary groups:
- Journalists seeking to deepen their scientific knowledge through placements (sabbaticals) at one or more research institutions.
- Researchers (life scientists) who wish to transition to full-time science journalism, enabling them to undertake funded placements in media newsrooms for hands-on training and portfolio development.
The program aims to foster a deeper understanding of life and related sciences in the media, promote accurate science communication, and help researchers pivot into journalism careers.
