Description
The María Salgado Travel Grant supports graduate students presenting original scholarship at the annual American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies (ASECS) national conference. Its focus is work on eighteenth-century Spain, Portugal, or Ibero-America within the “long” eighteenth century, approximately 1680–1830. The grant provides travel support tied to an in-person conference presentation rather than support for a broader research project.
The grant is supported by the Ibero-American Society of Eighteenth Century Studies Fund, also known as the Ibero-American Society Fund, and managed by IASECS. The current IASECS officers make award decisions, and funding is disbursed upon submission of receipts after the conference.
