Description
This Fulbright Scholar teaching/research award is sponsored by the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) and hosted by its School of Marine Sciences. It supports work in biology, environmental sciences, and oceanography, preferably physical, chemical, or biological oceanography. The scholar divides time equally between teaching and research, with all classes taught in English.
Teaching includes undergraduate or graduate courses in marine sciences, oceanography, or marine aquaculture, plus four lectures related to the scholar’s expertise. Research may follow the applicant’s own project or one designated by the host, with opportunities to present seminars and collaborate across university research groups. Public talks, student mentoring, and engagement with the host community support Fulbright’s goals of international understanding and cooperation.
