Description
The Marisla Foundation provides quarterly grants in two main areas: Environment and Human Services, plus a Special Interests category open by invitation. The Environment Program funds projects promoting conservation of biological diversity and sustainable ecosystem management, with a focus on marine and coastal biodiversity in California, Northwest Mexico, Hawaii, Chile, and the Western Pacific. It also supports efforts addressing health and environmental threats from toxic chemicals. The Human Services Program supports women in crisis in Orange County and Los Angeles, California, funding activities such as stable housing, addiction treatment, domestic violence recovery, and vocational training. The foundation only accepts online applications from eligible 501(c)(3) organizations.
