    Description

    This award honors early-career archivists who have demonstrated broad merit in archival work, significant leadership potential, and/or commendable service to the archives profession. The recognition is based on the nominee’s overall experience, including their knowledge, leadership, participation, and achievements in archival work. The award celebrates individuals whose contributions extend beyond their local institution and show promise for future impact, as well as those who have engaged in collaborative work, exemplary service, and successful outreach or advocacy. Established in 2011 and renamed in 2017 to honor SAA Fellow and Past President Mark A. Greene, the award highlights his commitment to mentoring emerging leaders in the archival field.
